PBS tonight: "Makers: Women Who Make America"

Merryl Streep narrates film clips and commentary by women who broke new ground in the US women's movement from sixties white and black feminist roots to today.

For anyone who wants a preview, Amy Goodman interviews the film's executive producer today at http://www.democracynow.org , and airs film clips. (As a bonus, today's show has two other thought-provoking segments: one seriously questioning who benefits from government fiscal austerity, the other an interview of an Israeli and a Palestinian father of children killed each other's "forces".)

I have just watched all three segments. I particularly recommend spreading the word about a program that has been several years in the making. It's instructive, and it bridges Black and Women's History Months.
